I am a journalist by profession and by choice, working in the print media. Several times it happens that we journalists know a lot more about certain things - an issue, an incident or even a political development - that we write or we can write about. Mostly space constrains and not to mention 'off the record' or 'officials, who did not wish to be named' do not allow us to write into the story all that we know.
This blog will feature all such things that I have not been able to incorporate into the published stories. And well, for the uninitiated, 'story' in journalism is the news report that a reporter files. Wherever possible I will try to give the URL to the original published story, either from the e-paper link or from wherever it is published. Also, unlike in the stories that I write for my paper, I may add a comment or two here.
